This past weekend our founder, Adam Stirtan, had an absolute blast at a local Hamilton-area hackathon — and we couldn’t be prouder of everything he brought to the event.

Adam kicked things off by delivering a lively talk on Neural Networks: breaking down how they actually work, why they’re powering so much of today’s AI, and (most importantly) how anyone — especially students — can start building with them right away.
But he didn’t stop there.
Adam also jumped in as a mentor, spending hours with student teams helping them debug code, brainstorm features, and turn half-baked ideas into working prototypes. He came back saying over and over, “That was so inspiring!” Watching young builders go from “I don’t know where to start” to shipping real projects in 48 hours is exactly the kind of hands-on magic that fuels everything we do at ClassZoo.
He rounded out the weekend as one of the judges, getting a front-row seat to every project and helping crown the winners. The creativity, energy, and skill on display were off the charts.
A huge thank you to the organizer's of MathHacks for inviting Adam to speak.
Adam left with a notebook full of new connections, great conversations and even more excitement about the next generation of AI builders. And of course, massive congratulations to the two student winners of the $500 first prize 🥇 you guys crushed it!
Moments like these remind us why ClassZoo exists: to make hands-on AI learning fun, accessible, and real for students and educators everywhere. Seeing young people dive into neural networks, build projects, and win hackathons? That’s the future we’re helping create — one classroom, one app, and one inspiring weekend at a time.
Can’t wait for the next hackathon!
